Aura Long Life saves money and trouble
Arjen Marees, maintenance coordinator at NS Poort explains more about the difficulties with the lamp switch. ”It requires a lot of safety measures to replace lights along the railway lines and on the platforms. In many cases a safety worker has to be present. Sometimes even the overhead line voltage for the train has to be disconnected. Also very high up there are often signs for the train drivers that have to be allowed for. So changing lights can be an expensive business”, explains Arjen Marees.
”By making the replacement cycle as long as possible we can avoid down-time. This saves us money and trouble. It is definitely economical if you only have to change lights once every ten years, instead of once every two years, as was the case with conventional fluorescent tubes. That’s why we chose Aura Long Life Lights. We have now installed Aura Long Life lights in various places, including Amsterdam and Haarlem central stations. We are a satisfied client!” says Arjen Marees.
